Lloyds TSB Credit Cards - For the Journey

Lloyds TSB Credit Cards

Lloyds Bank was originally founded in 1865. It has been involved in a number of mergers and acquisitions over the years. Between 1984 and 1997, Sir Brian Pitman was CEO of Lloyds Bank, and much of the creation and success of the modern Lloyds Bank is attributed to him. He improved the bank by prioritising increasing shareholder value and making the bank business more narrowly focused. When Lloyds Bank merged with the TSB group in 1995, it became known as Lloyds TSB Bank Plc. In 2008, it acquired Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS), and is now better known as the Lloyds Banking Group. They have been a large bank in the United Kingdom for a number of years.

They offers a large range of Personal Banking services including current accounts, savings, investments, loans, mortgages and credit cards. They also have services available in Business Banking (helping many new and established businesses with their banking), Private Banking, Corporate Markets and International banking.

Lloyds TSB have a small amount of cards to choose from, including a Platinum Credit Card and Airmile Credit Cards. Some of the cards have good balance transfer promotions and 0% on purchase deals. They have teamed up with Airmiles and offer some cards that reward you with Airmiles when you use the card to make a purchase. Lloyds TSB Offers some low interest credit cards that have a lower than average APR rate, if you have a good credit rating. As a general rule with the cards that Lloyds are currently offering, you will need a good credit rating in order for your card application to be accepted. Although the selection of cards offered is small, this keeps it simple if you want to compare credit cards that are available. The varying features and benefits on each of the cards make it easier for you to choose which card is right for you.

Lloyds TSB do offer a card for students, and although you get some of the standard features, many of the other features and benefits offered are different to what you will get with some of their other cards. Some of the cards offered on the Lloyds TSB website have annual fees. Every card comes with Internet Fraud Protection. You have three ways to manage your account with Lloyds TSB, you can manage it by phone, over the internet, or in one of their branches. A sophisticated internet banking system is available to help you look after all of your accounts from one place.

Lloyd's take their corporate responsibility very seriously. They work with a number of charities in the UK, and have done so for many years, as well as working within a number of local communities in the UK and abroad. They also take their commitment to minimising their impact on climate change seriously.
